Meet the Founder

Talofa Lava!

I'm Jade - just another afakasi (half-caste) girl who's always wanted to learn Samoan. I was born and raised in Australia with English speaking parents, so there was never a chance for me to learn the language... and maaan has it sucked not knowing anything about the culture!

Finding My Sei is my passion project that I hold so close to my heart. I decided it was finally time to get over the shame, fear and all the other things holding me back from learning my language, because if I don't try now then my kids will have no chance.

These language cards are so much more than just a product for me, they're my first step to bringing the language back in to my own family.

What ages are the cards suitable for?

These cards are designed to be used by all ages - adults, teens and even children!

Whilst our cards are kid-friendly, we still recommend using them for ages 3 years and above

Do I need to know Samoan to use the cards?

Nope - these cards are designed for absolute beginners!

Each card has the English translation of the Samoan word and pronunciation written alongside it so that you can learn on your own.

How many cards come in each deck?

The Alphabet card deck includes 17 cards.

The Numbers, Home & Family, and Colours & Animals card decks all have 30 cards each.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we offer international shipping!

Please note: International customers are responsible for any customs/import duties or taxes applied by their country.

Will you be releasing other card decks in the future?

Yes! We have more card decks currently in the works, with plans to expand our product range into other language resources in the near future.
